Mrs. Priscilla Mirembe Serukka is an experienced Leader passionate about good corporate governance. For 15 years, she has been overseeing an International NGO intervening in 5 countries in Eastern Africa; Ms. Serukka has over 25 years' experience in Microfinance at different levels (Oversight, Accounting Officer, Manager and Credit Officer), where she successfully turned around a failing Microfinance Apex into a successful Apex with multicultural shareholders and led a Multicultural Board for over 1O years. She served in a European Union project whose work involved the development of a sustainable and well-coordinated Microfinance sector in Uganda.
Ms. Serukka holds extensive experience in board development and has a Commonwealth certificate in Corporate Governance and Board Chairmanship. She is a member of the Institute of Corporate Governance Uganda. She is passionate about best practices in Corporate Governance and has been involved for about 12 years in training, evaluating, and developing boards.
Currently, she is the Managing Director, KAIROS Consult, a Consulting firm specialising in Governance, Programme Management, and Inclusive Finance.
She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture (Agriculture Economics) from Makerere University and a Master's Degree in Management Studies from the Uganda Management Institute and various professional training.
Mr. Herbert Kamuntu is the Managing Director of Kachain Logistics Ltd (a Distribution and Consulting firm). He is a successful professional with close to 30 years of experience with major multinationals in various sectors in Uganda and abroad. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Aeronautical Engineering from the University of Manchester, UK, and Masters in Business Administration from Cranfield University, UK and a Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing. He also previously worked with Bel Air Ltd and Ethiopian Airlines. He brings these rich experiences to the Uganda Airlines Board.
Ms. Barbara Namugambe is the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Works and Transport. She is a Senior Administrator and a Lawyer with more than 17 years of experience in Administration & Management. She is passionate about good governance, sound financial management systems & performance for results. Ms. Namugambe holds a Bachelors degree in Social Sciences, Bachelor's degree in Law, a Post graduate diploma in Project Planning & Management & Master's degree in Public Administration from Makerere University & Uganda Management Institute, respectively.
Ms. Namugambe brings a grounded approach to managing human capital.
Capt. Kisoro is a retired Airline Pilot, he has 44 years of experience as a Pilot and retired with over 24,000 hours of flying the Fokker 27, B737s, Airbus 300, MD11, B747-400, B777 and B787 (Dreamliner). Some of the Airline Companies that he served include Uganda Airlines, Air Zimbabwe, Sierra Leone Airlines, Malaysia Airlines, Saudi Arabian Airlines, Ethiopian Airlines, and Singapore Airlines, and he retired at Etihad Airways. He joined East African Civil Flying School, Soroti, as a Cadet Pilot for East African Airways. He has attended numerous professional courses, including a Master's in Business Administration from Jaipur National University, India.
Mr. Rwahwire is the Director of Graduate Studies, Research and Innovations at Busitema University as well as an Associate Professor of Materials Engineering.
Rwahwire received an integrated Master's Degree (BSc and MSc combined) in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in Aerospace Engineering from the Czech Technical University, Prague, in 2008; He obtained a PhD in Materials Engineering (2016) from the Technical University, Liberec. He previously worked for Eagle Air Uganda Ltd as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer for L.A. Composite s.r.o Prague developing parts for Boeing and Airbus, most specifically the B787.
Rwahwire brings aviation experience in Airplane engineering, safety and maintenance to the board.
Mr. Patrick Ocailap is the Deputy Secretary to the Treasury Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development. He is an Economist with a Master's Degree in Development Economics - Williams College, Massachusetts, USA, a Bachelor of Commerce Degree majoring in Finance, Makerere University and a Certified Public Private Partnership Member (IP3 USA). He has previously successfully held pioneer Board membership in Uganda Road Fund and Financial Intelligence Authority, among others. Currently, he is serving on the Board of the National Social Security Fund and National Housing and Construction Company Ltd.
Mr. Ocailap brings a wealth of experience in Public Policy Formulation, Financial Management, Leadership, Institutional Governance and Mentorship.
Mr. Moding has hands-on experience on Airline communication systems from reservation through checking to departure, flight, and load control, as well as Aircraft communication.
Mr. Moding obtained a Master's degree in Communication and signal processing from the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne, United Kingdom. He a holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from Makerere University.
His experience spans over 20 years in Information Technology and working for Societe Internationale telecomuque Aeoronautiques (SITA), one year in Bank of Uganda and 5 years in higher learning institutions Makerere University, IUIU Mbale campus, Nakawa Institute of Information and Communication Technology and Kyambogo University.
He has served on the Uganda Communication Commission (UCC) Board and is the Cream Confectionery founder.
His ultimate goal is to make Uganda Airlines the most tech-savvy Airline in Africa and the world by leveraging the latest information technology available.
Ms. Jennifer Bamuturaki is the Chief Executive Officer of Uganda Airlines.
Before being named the CEO, Ms. Jennifer was the Ag. CEO of Uganda Airlines for 1 year. She served as the Commercial Director of Uganda Airlines, responsible for Commercial, Sales & Marketing, and service support to all markets and countries of operation.
Ms. Bamuturaki has over 20 years of experience in Commercial, Sales & Marketing direction in the Aviation, Travel and Hospitality industries. Her wealth of expertise is building teams, developing strategic resellers relationships, negotiations and route development.
Ms. Bamuturaki has also served as Commercial Director of International Hotel Brands.
Ms. Bamuturaki holds a Bachelor of Social Sciences from Makerere University, with certifications from IATA, Starwood and other leadership and professional training.
